Building Creativity and Business from Scratch

My Journey With Creativity and Business

Everywhere I look, it feels like getting started requires some kind of investment — money, equipment, experience, or all three. But I can’t afford to pour my savings into a dozen ideas and hope one of them magically takes off.

I’ve also read the advice we’ve all heard: “Just start. We all start somewhere.”
So here I am — starting with what I have: a paid website, no writing experience, and a lot of hope that someone out there might find this blog and relate.

My dream is simple: to create something meaningful and valuable for others.

💛 My Intentions

I started this website with good intentions and an honest heart.
I’ve promised myself to dedicate at least one hour each day to creativity — whether it’s crocheting, sewing, felting, writing, exercising, or cooking.

Some days, that hour turns into several, and I’ll look up realizing I never took a single photo of my progress. But maybe that’s okay. Sometimes the process matters more than the proof.

This post is my reminder — to myself and to anyone reading — that we all start somewhere, and I’m very much a work in progress.

🌱 The Bigger Picture

I have big dreams: to start my own business, to create freely, and to become completely self-reliant.

Right now, I’m exploring different paths to get there. My ideas are many, my focus is still forming — but that’s part of the adventure.

Here’s what I’m working on (and dreaming about):

Affiliate Marketing

I’m signed up with a few companies and learning the ropes. My plan is to make videos using products I love — full tutorials on YouTube, quick reels on Facebook — and track everything in Excel to see the growth over time.

Creating Content

If there’s one thing I know about myself, it’s that I’m relatable. I want to share the awkward, real, honest side of starting from scratch. I believe that’s how I’ll find my people — by showing up as I am.

Copywriting

If I can grow my confidence as a writer, I’d love to write blog posts or product features for others. Words are powerful, and learning to use them well is a goal I’m excited about.

Gigs & Handmade Work

As my skills improve, I want to take on commissions and maybe even sell my creations at local markets. There’s something special about sharing something made by hand.

Online Selling

Eventually, I’d love to design and sell my own digital patterns — sewing, crochet, or both.

✉️ What’s Next

My next goal is to build a small audience — a little corner of the internet filled with people who care about creativity, growth, and honest beginnings.

I plan to start with a newsletter and maybe even a freebie download, sharing updates on what I’m learning, making, or focusing on each week.

I might not have it all figured out yet — but I’ve started.
And that’s more than enough.
